Study on analysis and decision support system of power grid operation considering meteorological environment based on big data and GIS

It is significant to obtain the impacts of meteorology on power grid effectively in power grid operation and planning. This paper attempts to offer a approach to analyzing the effect of meteorological environment on the power grid, not only meteorological hazard but also conventional meteorological environment such as air pollution and temperature. In this article the business requirements about the impacts of meteorological environment on power grid are discussed firstly, and then integrated analysis and decision support system including four main functions and three layers are designed to satisfy the requirement. Further, considering the characteristics of meteorology and power system, a approach which can extract the meteorological influence on power grid and the internal correlation features on a hybrid correlation mining is proposed. Finally visualization technology of integrated GIS and big data is used to show the analysis results by a multidimensional way. The performance of the proposed method has been evaluated by case studies, with an effectiveness and correctness result.
