Design and research on high voltage power supply of medical X-ray machine

Medical X-ray machine provides a powerful technical support and guarantee for accurate diagnosis of certain human diseases in modern disease diagnosis. However, clinical application investigation shows that the X-ray source of medical X-ray machine has some defects such as low efficiency, high energy consumption, poor quality of imaging, bad control stability, lower repeat rate, which makes the X-ray machine efficient application in medical field restricted by different degree. High voltage source is the key component of X-ray machines, and its output voltage ripple and adjustability decide the imaging quality and the range of disease diagnosis. In this paper, a new type of high power supply circuit applied in medical X-ray machines is presented. An integrated control chip UC3525A has been employed, therefore the capacity of anti-interference and stability have been greatly improved. A closed loop control structure is formed according to feedback sampling of the output voltage of divider resistor to the control circuit, thus the output voltage can be controlled precisely. This circuit main includes the following functions: control circuit, conversion circuit, voltage-multiplying circuit and feedback circuit. Finally, the designed circuit is verified in an experiment and the result shows that it is higher stability, higher control accuracy, lower power consumption and smaller size compared with the conventional high power supply circuit applied in medical X-ray machines.
