Modified PWM technique for bidirectional AC/DC converter to reduce switching loss with fuzzy logic control for grid tied microgrid system

this paper represents the modified PWM (pulse width modulation) solution for bidirectional converter in a microgrid system. In converter as number of switching takes place losses increases. This switching losses can be reduced using less number of switching, so proposed simplified PWM technique reduces up to one fourth of conventional UPWM and BPWM. The system is based on feedforward control scheme with fuzzy Logic controller, which is more feasible as compared to conventional dual loop control scheme, to achieve better result of inverter mode and rectifier mode. The modified PWM technique has lower harmonic distortion than BPWM and it has more efficiency than both UPWM and BPWM. Simulation of proposed system is constructed using MATLAB Simulink.
