Smart grid system

The smart grid is conceived of as an electric grid Generation and transmission have been evolving and improving as they have been under the control of utility companies, but distribution has been lagging behind on some of these improvements. The proposed idea is to develop a prototype that can improve all of the three major blocks and bring smartness to the grid system by involving information and communication systems. We propose a method to examine determinants of residential electricity consumption by using smart meters that can deliver electricity in a controlled, smart way from points of generation to active consumers. Many different technologies have been growing under the umbrella of Smart Grids, which can be split into three major blocks generation, transmission and distribution.
