A mathematical model of steady-state thermal regime of insulated overhead line conductors

This paper shows the obtained equation of the unified mathematical model to find the temperature of insulated and bare conductors of overhead power lines, taking into account weather conditions. A comparison of created model with CIGRE, IEEE methods and the Finite Element Method is presented. We have achieved high precision of results matching. On the basis of the created mathematical model we found the ratio to calculate the loss of electric power based on the conductors temperature.
