An improved multi-position calibration method for the Gyrowheel based on D-optimal theory

Gyrowheel is an innovative attitude determination and control instrument. To improve the rate sensing accuracy of Gyrowheel, study of the corresponding calibration method is required in consideration of the complex errors due to its special construction. Therefore, a new multi-position calibration method is designed for Gyrowheel using D-optimal theory. The design procedure is given based on the particle swarm optimization algorithm. Then simulation is implemented, which verify the effectiveness of the proposed method in comparison with the existing one.
