Research on traveler information service system industrialization in China

Traveler Information Service System (TISS) is an important part of intelligent transportation system (ITS). TISS industry is to serve the travel purpose, and use the information technology in travel information acquisition, transmission, processing and publishing activities of the industry. In order to effectively and efficiently develop TISS and industrialize TISS products in China, the government has focused on TISS industrialization strategies. This paper discusses the behavior structure and operation mechanism of TISS industry, and analyzes the present situation and main problems of TISS industry in China. Finally some macroscopic developing suggestions related to industrial policies are proposed.
