Uncertainty analysis and evaluation of a WR-28 (26.5 to 40 GHz) millimeter-wave power standard

A new WR-28 (26.5 to 40 GHz) waveguide microcalorimeter has been recently developed at the National Institute of Metrology, China for a replacement of previous national primary power standard. The new microcalorimeter was preliminarily evaluated and successfully used to determine the effective efficiency of a transfer standard (i.e., thermistor mount). In this paper, measurements and evaluation of the new WR-28 microcalorimeter will be described, and uncertainty analysis for determining the effective efficiency of thermistor mount will be discussed briefly.
