Experiment results of the laboratory tests of electrical starting system powered by an AC source

Realization of multi-usage of on-board devices is one of the criteria for the effective usage of aircraft on-board equipment. As part of this criterion, it seems appropriate to integrate the starter and generator of the auxiliary power unit in a single unit [7]. The article presents the laboratory test results of the electric engine starting system prototype. An electric starter mode has been realized on the base of three-stage synchronous generator. The purpose of the test is to debug control algorithms and to test the prototype operability while feeding three-stage synchronous generator.
