Adaptive digital pre-emphasis for high speed digital analogue converters

An adaptive digital pre-emphasis to mitigate the electrical bandwidth limitation of high speed DACs is proposed. Numerical simulations prove its effectiveness for QPSK, 16QAM and 64QAM, by significantly increasing the transmittable symbol rate.
