Research on distance protection of incomplete-journey parallel line on the same tower

The paper discussed primarily the operating characteristics of distance protection of incomplete-journey parallel line on the same tower, and the conclusion pointed out the direction of the follow-up work on incomplete-journey parallel line on the same tower. Based on an actual power transmission system of the incomplete-journey parallel line on the same tower, the paper points out the conditions of the distance protection false operation or the refusing action. Besides, according to the basic principle of distance protection and characteristics of various kinds of faults, the paper analyzes the actions of the distance protection. The simulation model is put up using MATLAB/Simulink and the simulation experiment are made in various fault. The emulated data prove the conclusions indicated by the paper are correct.
