Professor Abderrahmane Beroual, Ecole Centrale de Lyon AMPERE laboratory, recipient of the DEIS 2016 T. W. Dakin Distinguished Technical Contributions Award

Abderrahmane Beroual was born on October 30, 1951, in Algeria. He received the Diplome d'Ingenieur d'Etat en Electrotechnique in 1976 from the Ecole Nationale Polytechnique of Algiers and PhD degree in electrical engineering with specialization in high voltage technology in 1979 from the Technical University of Wroclaw, Poland. In 1980 he joined the Ecole Nationale Polytechnique of Algiers, where he initiated several research projects in collaboration with national companies. He also served as advisor at the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (1980-1983).
