Multiple hypothesis tracker in the presence of RGPO/RGPI using amplitude information

To counter range gate pull off (RGPO) and range gate pull in (RGPI) jammings, a multiple hypothesis tracker (MHT) using amplitude information is presented in this paper. A common angle gate test is performed to detect RGPO/RGPI. Then, the problem of MHT is reformulated to take the detected RGPO/RGPI deception measurements into account. And the amplitude information is incorporated in the calculation of hypothesis probabilities so that the probability of correct data association will be increased. The effectiveness of the proposed approach to counter RGPO and RGPI jammings is verified via four simulation scenarios. Furthermore, simulation results also show that, through the use of amplitude information, the tracking performance of the proposed approach significantly outperforms the conventional MHT algorithm in terms of track continuity, track accuracy and computation time.
