Decision making under vagueness and uncertainty

This paper describes how belief, uncertainty and vagueness can be represented by subjective opinions. Criteria for decision making can be articulated in terms of uncertainty and vagueness in addition to expected utility. The notions of uncertainty and vagueness provide a simple way of explaining the Ellsberg paradox in decision making.
