Analysis and comparison of FPP and DPP structure based DMPPT PV system

Distributed Maximum Power Point tracking (DMPPT) concept can effectively make each PV unit working on its individual Maximum Power Point (MPP) during mismatch. Therefore, to get the full benefit of DMPPT concept, this paper provides a comparative analysis between two major branches of DMPPT PV systems: FPP structure and DPP structure respectively. Advantages and disadvantages of both structures are analyzed and compared from different aspects.
