Ultra-wideband 20-way coaxial power combiner

In this paper we present a new ultra-wideband 20-way coaxial power combiner. In this new structure, there is a radially extended coaxial cavity and 20 coaxial coupling probes. It can not only be used as power combiner but also power divider. There are several critical parameters we'll discuss here that ultimately determine the performance of the new power combiner. The new structure can efficiently work in ultra-wideband 6GHz-18GHz range. ANSYS HFSS simulation results show that the insertion loss is less than -1dB and the return loss is below -15dB. With relatively compacted body, space is sufficiently used and manufacturing process is easy for industry production.
