Calibration of array weights against mutual coupling for beamforming on ULA antennas

A method is presented for calibration of array weights against mutual coupling in uniform linear array (ULA) antennas. Based on actual antenna patterns under specified excitations and an adjusted approach to pattern synthesis, the method leads to a calibration matrix, which can be used to calibrate array weights obtained by real-time beamforming and reduce pattern distortion.
