Development of a vivaldi tile for the SKA Mid Frequency Aperture Array

This paper presents a Vivaldi prototype tile for the SKA Mid-Frequency Aperture Array. The final array will consist of around 20 million antenna elements with dual polarization. This is a challenging, but achievable goal. Compared to earlier demonstrators, major improvements have been realized in production costs, power consumption and performance.
