Mixed time-triggered and event-triggered controller for industrial IoT applications

A smart industrial controller is essential for industrial real-time control in IoT environment. However, in the IoT environment, many industrial controllers have complex timing constrains and have flexibility requirement for reducing system resource consumption. In this paper, in order to reducing complexity and guarantee reliability, we propose a new design method about a mixed time-triggered and event-triggered industrial controller for industrial real-time control in IoT environment. This design integrated the mixed time-triggered and event-triggered mode with RTX embedded operating system to manage the multi-tasks. A practical application verifies the performance of the proposed system, which achieves good effects for polycarboxylate superplasticizer manufacturing.
