Model predictive control for the packed U-Cells 7-level grid connected inverter

This paper presents a new control technique applied on a multilevel inverter recently launched, the Packed U-Cells also known as PUC inverter. PUC became the interest of several studies for different applications mainly for the grid connected systems. In this work, Model Predictive Control (MPC) is used to control the grid current and the auxiliary capacitor voltage in the grid connected PUC inverter. Matlab-Simulink-SimPowerSystems is used to validate the good dynamic performance of the proposed controller applied on the PUC inverter.
