Watermarking medical images with patient information

Digital watermarking of medical images with patient information such as patient details, history and measured physiological signals prior to transmission and storage is proposed as a way to effectively reduce memory requirements, provide protection of information and reduce transmission time and cost. Further, encryption before watermarking is done to ensure inaccessibility of information to unauthorized personnel.
