ASIC and MEMS co-design methodology

To reduce time-to-market of MEMS products ASIC and MEMS sensor co-design methodology is required. This paper presents advantages of ASIC and MEMS co-design method using MEMS HDL models. The mentioned methodology has been used in MEMS accelerometer system level design. The co-simulation of MEMS sensor with electronic read-out circuit using Verilog-AMS models in Cadence tools was described. It was shown that described ASIC and MEMS co-design methodology is efficient for ASIC functional verification and can reduce product development cycle of MEMS devices.
