A remote security exercise system for beginners considering scalability and simplicity

This paper provides a design of scalable and simple remote security exercise system and its performances. Serious understaffing problem in security area. Basic security skills are necessary to all people these days. We have two fundamental problems to solve this problem. One is understaffing who can provide a security lecture. Increase security instructor is necessary to increase a number of people who can understand a security. But develop a security instructor takes long time. Another problem is complicated exercise environment. Some existing security exercise system provides a way to attend from remote site using VNC to solve an understaffing who can provides a security lecture. But it is difficult to understand exercise environment for beginner. We propose a simple remote security exercise system which can attend from all over the world at same time. We measure traffic and confirmed that our system requires low bandwidth. We also take a voice from student after exercise class. It shows student do not confuse in exercise environment and completely satisfy with network performance.
