Inter-Carrier Interference suppression combined with channel estimation for mobile OFDM system

In mobile OFDM system, Inter-Carrier Interference (ICI) is one of key issue due to decreasing orthogonality. To mitigate the effect of ICI, in this paper we introduce an ICI analysis in both time and frequency-domain and the estimator method based on Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) to estimate channel in a mobile OFDM system. Based on this research, we proposed the ICI suppression methods to reduce the Inter-Carrier Interference (ICI) by combining Extended Kalman Filter estimator in our algorithm. The results show that EKF estimator with ICI suppression method has better results in fading environment.
