A new current balancing circuit for multiple AC-loads of flat panel displays and lighting devices

This paper presents a new current balancing circuit for multiple AC-loads connected in parallel. The proposed balancing circuit, which is composed of transistors and diodes, can balance the current of each AC-load. The PSIM simulation was implemented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed circuit. The proposed circuit had the superior balancing ability when compared to the balancing circuit with the conventional current mirror technique, and it reduced the maximum current deviation among the multiple AC-loads from 18 % to 0.6 %.
