Investigation of plasmon propagation on lossy dielectric split ring resonator, DSRR, chain over semiconductor substrates: Simulations in the tens of Terahertz range

In general, a magnetic plasmon propagation along a chain of connected Single-Split Ring Resonators (SRR) is obtained using metallic cells over a dielectric substrate. This work presents some kind of a "dual" chain, i.e, a dielectric SRR matrix over non-perfect conductors such as semiconductors. For both materials, dielectric SRR cells and substrates, conductive loss is considered. This new configuration at micro and nano scale cells presents - as simulation reveals-a "dielectric" plasmon response in the range of tens of Terahertz.
