Multiobjective voltage control in smart distribution power systems

The voltage regulation problem is very complex and important in electric power systems. Such problem is related to keep the voltages within pre-determined levels according to the current legislation. The application of smart grids' concepts helps in this problem by giving more background to take decisions and enabling the possibility of considering a wider picture of the power system to take control actions. This paper proposes a multobjective voltage control in smart distribution systems using Artificial Immune Systems. The proposed methodology considers the active power losses, nonconformity voltage levels fines and switching costs as variables. The IEEE 34 node test feeder and a real feeder are used as examples to assess the methodology robustness.
