Novel selective CIC filter functions with improved magnitude response characteristics

Novel selective multiplerless Cascaded-Integrator-Comb (CIC) finite impulse response (FIR) filter functions with applications in modern communication systems are designed. The paper is focused on the analysis of the proposed CIC filters in comparison with existing classical CIC structures and some recent results reported in the literature. The simultaneous improvements in the passband and stopband of filter functions are achieved.
