Ideal cusp-like motheye antireflective structures for chalcogenide optical fibers

We design and optimize ideal motheye structures for mid-infrared As
₂
S
₃
optical fibers. We show that ideal cusp-like features with a half-ellipsoidal or pyramidal shape can achieve average transmission of 99.9% from 2-5 μm.
