Nonlinear Control [Bookshelf]

This book is not a revised edition of the author's previous book ["Nonlinear Systems, 3rd ed., 2001) but rather a new book organized and focused on the material most pertinent to developing an understanding of nonlinear control. The first half of the book provides a solid foundation for understanding and analyzing nonlinear systems, but many of the more abstract concepts, such as the comparison lemma, receive much less attention. The second half of the book presents nonlinear control in an entirely new format that is better organized and more logical, building upon concepts successively, such that students can better understand and master nonlinear control. In fact, many aspects of nonlinear control are better generalized, such as backstepping, while others are given deeper consideration, such as observers, tracking control, and output feedback control.
