The use of symbolic algebra for sliding mode controller design

Dynamic sliding mode control policies based around differential input-output system representations provide a relatively general solution to the problem of robust control of nonlinear systems. This paper considers the implementation of these schemes within symbolic computation packages to provide a nonlinear sliding mode controller design environment.
