Simultaneous measurement of strain and temperature using high sensitivity multicore fiber sensors

We demonstrate strain sensors consisting of multicore fiber spliced between two single mode fibers, with increased sensitivity to a factor of 12x a standard FBG. Simultaneous decoupling of strain and temperature measurements are also demonstrated.
