Plasma polymerized electrospun PEDOT-S nanofibers obtained by in-situ radio frequency plasma treatment

A rational strategy for fabricating PEDOT-S/PVA (poly(4-(2,3-dihydrothieno [3,4-b] [1,4] - dioxin-2-yl-methoxy)-1-butanesulfonic acid/polyvinyl alcohol) nanofibers by in situ-plasma deposition was developed. The key process was electrospinning of EDOT-S/PVA and further its modification by oxygen plasma in a radio frequency (RF) plasma treatment chamber at low temperature

. The structure-property relationship of the materials was characterized using FTIR and Scanning electron microscope. It was observed that after plasma treatment, no significant changes were observed in the morphologies of the nanofibers meanwhile characteristic polymer bands was obtained in FTIR spectrum
