Methodological guidelines for the use of analytical and numerical models in a design process of an electromagnetic device

This paper describes a design process that uses simultaneously analytical and numerical models for the design of electrical wheels. This example is then used to extract general guidelines for the right use of numerical and analytical models in a design problem of an electric device.
