Dye sensitized solar cells with carbon black as counter electrodes

In this experiment, we use carbon black as counter electrodes to replace the conventional platinum electrodes in DSSCs. We discussed the properties and efficiency of carbon black counter electrodes by controlling the annealing temperature from 100 °C to 500 °C with various concentration of 0.5M, and 1.5M. After the proper annealing process, the conductivity and redoxing ability of the carbon black was improve, resulted in the enhancement of the electrical characteristics, especially fill factor, of the device. of 14.70 mA/cm

and, V
_OC
of 0.75V, and fill factor of 0.67 under 1-sun AM 1.5G solar illumination.
