Self-regulated magnetic induction heating Of Zn-Co ferrite nanoparticles

Ferrites have been widely employed in different applications ranging from magnetic high density data storage, magnetic drug delivery, biomedical applications, catalysts. Among them, their application in magnetic hyperthermia (magnetic induction heating) have been extensively reported due to their biocompatibility and their controlled magnetic properties as nanosized systems. Magnetic induction heating is based on the heat generated as a consequence of the application of an alternating (ac) field. In these applications, self-regulated nanoparticle systems have been proposed, where the Curie point of the nanosized system controls the maximum heating temperature. Accordingly, Co-Zn ferrites (Co
