The Design Strategy of Supervisory Control and Study of Human-Computer Interaction in Antibiotic Fermentation Production

Antibiotic fermentation is a very complex micro-bial metabolite process, the supervisory control towards operation optimization of this process requires rapid access to information on biological status of the process As well as knowledge of the influence of environmental factors on process dynamics. The design of supervisory control is based on advanced information technology which includes information process, man-machine interface, dynamic display and knowledge based decision system. The system knowle- dge depends on the production experiences and theoretical argument combined with a deal of significant production test. The production operation would be performed on-line or off-line by computer and operator in various degree of cooperation. As a consequence of successly implemented in Hangzhou No.2 Phamaceutical factory show this supervi- sory control system is very significant-for practice use, process used by human and computer will match different production situations, In this paper, some experimental studies of the human-computer interaction was performed, the first experiment is to examine computer mediation it processing sensed information and displaying it to the human supervisor, the second experiment deals with the use of computer-generated knowledge rules to aid human operation and real-time control, the final experiment is concerned with the computer aiding operation in detecting the abnormal fermentation situations. Lie the power of this industrial human-computer system, one can resolve the problems during the fermentation production in time, and correct that was previous inaccessible, the result shows the productivity is in creased 7% , and the energy cost is reduced 16%.
