Fragmentation-aware spectrum assignment for elastic optical networks with fully-distributed GMPLS

This paper proposes two types of fragmentation aware spectrum assignment for fully-distributed GMPLS framework. The cut-avoidance approach achieves lower blocking probability and the block-assign approach improves performance more when requested slot sizes are known.
