Low-overhead low-power-consumption LDPC-based FEC solution for next-generation high-speed optical systems

A low-overhead low-power-consumption LDPC-based FEC solution for next-generation high-speed optical systems is proposed. The novel concept provides 10.2-dB NCG with 12% total overhead and less than 2-W power consumption for 100-Gbps throughput.
