Abstract:

This paper addresses the problem of AC detection in multiplicative noise using the Continuous Wavelet Transform (CWT) and possible non-linear preprocessing. The quadratic pre-processing is shown to improve the performance of signature-based time-scale detectors under specific conditions on noise and signal parameters.
