A new approach for single stage AC/DC power factor correction converters with an improved energy processing

In this paper, a new family of single stage AC/DC circuits is proposed which shows a high power factor and a tight regulated output voltage. These converters are based on the use of two output pre-regulators. This family has advantages such as efficiency and size over the two stage structure, and simplicity over other single stage solutions.
