Inclusion of young universities into the global academic community: Example of Innopolis University, Russia

International cooperation opens favorable prospects for improving the quality of education, but young universities can experience difficulties in entering the global academic community. Criteria for selecting potential partner institutions and efficient strategies of establishment of collaboration are presented by the example of Innopolis University - a newly established higher education institution that is designed to be the first Russian university focusing on Information Technology.
