Nonunfirom space charge limited current from a protrusive cathode

Recently, we have revised the space charge limited (SCL) current in a cylindrical and spherical diode or Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) law [1]. A novel scaling law in semi-analytical form has been established [1]: equation where E

is the cathode electric field, D is the gap spacing and F is a correction factor depends on the radii of the cathode and anode. Note it is accurate over a wide range of parameters for planar, cylindrical and spherical diode.
