Effect of height and width of pyramid on temperature distribution characteristics of pyramidal radiowave absorbers

Pyramidal radiowave absorbers are widely used for anechoic chambers. Therefore, it is important to know the electromagnetic absorption and temperature distribution characteristics of the absorber. Traditionally, a pyramidal radiowave absorber has been designed by using an approximate design method. Therefore, it seems important to design a pyramidal radiowave absorber accurately by using a numerical simulation. In this paper, effects of the height and width of pyramidal radiowave absorber on both electromagnetic absorption and temperature distribution characteristics are investigated through the electromagnetic and heat-transfer analyses using the FDTD method.
