System design for Joule-class femtosecond fiber amplifiers for particle acceleration

We present a system architecture for high-repetition-rate Joule-class fiber lasers ideally suited for particle acceleration. The necessary power levels are achieved by using temporally and spatially separated amplification and subsequent coherent combination.
