Fuzzy-PID control of riser recoil process based on S7-300 PLC

During deepwater drilling process, recoil behavior of drilling riser will occur once the lower marine riser package is quickly disconnected from the blowout preventer, which could lead to serious drilling accidents. In view of the riser recoil control problem, this paper propses a control method that controls the piston movement speed by Fuzzy-PID controlling the recoil valve opening. the design is based on the piston position changes's experts experience and fuzzy control theory in the process of recoil, it applies s7-300 PLC to realize the reasonable control of the hydraulic cylinder piston movement speed in the process of recoil, thus the riser recoil velocity and displacement control can be in a reasonable range. It is based on this control method to write the corresponding control algorithm procedure in the SIMATIC Manager, with PLCSIM simulation software to prove the correctness of the control method.
