Abstract:
This paper introduces Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) Technique in detail and its implementation in MATLAB. Performance investigation of Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulated and Space Vector Modulated Voltage Source Inverter (VSI) fed Induction Motor (IM) drive has done and their simulation results are compared with each other. Also FFT analysis for Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulated and Space Vector Pulse Width Modulated VSI fed IM drive is done and compared with each other. 20 HP IM is used. The study confirms that IM gives improved performance when it is fed from Space Vector Pulse Width Modulated VSI.
