Dual channel support for radio on visible light (RoVL) communication system

The sophisticated services offered by the mobile technology has been improving rapidly, ever since the very first mobile telephone call was made by Motorola researcher. Admitting that the cell based radio technology has undoubtedly proven useful for long distance communication, it is challenged with connectivity issues when deployed in an in-building environment. With the inception of white LED based wireless transmission entities at the beginning of this century, radio and other technologies have become more interconnected, with its prospect for further expansion. Considering the numerous services offered, with the active advancements witnessed in mobile telecommunications, the RoVL project presents an innovative alternative for cell phone connectivity in RF restricted or poor signal connectivity regions. The following presentation briefly outlines the 5 major research challenges with its solutions.
