Monolithically Integrated Polarization Mode Convertors with Semiconductor Lasers

Half and full polarization mode convertors which are monolithically integrated with semiconductor lasers are reported. A polarization mode conversion of above 40% and 88% was obtained using single and two back-to-back PMCs respectively.
