Broadband Compact SIW Phase Shifter Using Omega Particles

In this letter, a broadband and compact phase shifter using omega particles is designed. Bandwidth of the 90

and 45

versions of the designed phase shifter are around 55% with the accuracy of 3

and 60% with the accuracy of 2.5

, respectively. The proposed phase shifter has compact size compared with previously published SIW based phase shifter designs. A prototype of the proposed 90
^°
phase shifter is fabricated and comparison of the measured and simulated results is provided.
